The redevelopment of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Conservatorium High School comprises three elements: the refurbished Government Stables building and Verbrugghen Hall; the new terraced buildings surrounding the historical building; and a dramatic three storey foyer linking old and new.

The redevelopment includes a number of publically accessible spaces, such as the Foyer, Foyer Bar and Music Café, a 350-seat auditorium with flexible pit arrangements, Music Workshop with orchestra pit, two 150-seat recital halls, and the acoustically recalibrated and refurbished 600-seat 1912 Verbrugghen Hall.
